new brooches || novas pregadeiras
Ok, I finally updated the stores… yep, the new brooches are now available here and here. I made a lot of new ones with a minimalist style (the circles, with little fuzz added), other with a fun look (the polka dots is fun fun fun!) and some more artistic (like the squared in orange). It took me a while to get started with these brooches, but then I just couldn’t stop! 
it was fun and really relaxing.
Ok, finalmente actualizei as lojas… sim, é verdade, as novas pregadeiras já estão disponíveis aqui e aqui. Fiz algumas pregadeiras com o estilo minimalista (as redondas, com muito poucos adereços), outras mais funs (às bolinhas vermelhas, que divertida!) e outras mais artísticas (como a quadrada em feltro laranja). Levei um pouco a começar, mas depois já não conseguia parar! foi divertido e muito relaxante.

news on wednesday || novidades na quarta
I have a lot of new brooches to show you, but it’s taking a while to list them all on th shops. I hope to have them all online on Wednesday, so stay tunned and have a great weekend! I will be away for 4 days, we’re traveling to the North of England, I think I will return very relaxed and happy! oh and today it’s the first game of Portugal on the Euro 2008 football competition, so goooooo Portugal!!! 
Tenho muitas pregadeiras novas para mostrar, mas está a levar-me algum tempo listá-las nas lojas. Espero quarta feira já ter tudo online, por isso fiquem atentos e tenham uma grande fim de semana! Eu vou estar fora 4 dias, vamos viajar até ao norte de inglaterra, acho que vou regressar relaxada e feliz! ahhh e hoje é o primeiro jogo de Portugal no Euro 2008 por isso FORÇA portugal!!!!!!

Book review: Softies
This book is wonderful! You can see it was made with lots of care, everything is in place and it’s gorgeous to look. The photos are really fun and creative and that’s a big plus for me. I don’t think I’m going to make any of these softies, at least not for now, because I want to work on original designs instead, but the book is a great source of inspiration!
Este livro é fantástico! Consegue perceber-se que foi feito com muito cuidado e atenção, tudo está no sítio perfeito e é lindo de se folhear. As fotos são muito divertidas e criativas e isso é um grande pró para mim. Não planeio fazer nenhum destes bonecos, pelo menos para já, porque quero antes trabalhar em designs originais, mas este livro é, sem dúvida, uma grande fonte de inspiração!

good photos, a tip || boas fotos, um truque
I really like to take photos, good ones of course! I like to photograph people, places and of course crafts. I usually spend quite some time taking photos of every new Ei! Kumpel’s piece. I take a lot of photos of the same object, from different angles, with different backgrounds and so one. I’ve been doing this for some time now and I think the most important thing in a photo is the light.
How good is the light is going to make the photo good or not good at all. Natural light is great but sometimes can add strange shadows to a photo. I decided to try a light tent and first I made one, using some box and white paper. It was quite good but the size was not the best and there were some other imperfections. So, I decided to browse for a light box and I bought one. It’s quite big and it came with 4 different backgrounds (white, black, blue and red). I still have to invest in some good light bulbs but I can tell you that use this light tent make an enormous difference on my photos. The photos are more clean, bright and the light is really homogeneous which is great! It was not that expense, I reckon around 18£ on Ebay (around $35 or 24€), so it’s quite a good investment!
Gosto muito de tirar fotos, boas fotos claro! Gosto de fotografar pessoas, sítios e crafts. Normalmente gasto bastante tempo a tirar fotos de cada peça Ei! Kumpel nova. Tiro várias fotos do mesmo objecto, de diferentes angulos, com diferentes fundos, etc e depois corrigo alguns parâmetros, como exposição ou balanço das cores, no computador. Já faço isto há algum tempo e penso que a coisa mais importante numa foto é a luz.
Quão boa é a luz é fundamental para quão boa vai ser a fotografia. A luz natural é muito boa, mas por vezes pode criar sombras estranhas. Decidi então experimentar usar uma tenda de luz e comecei por fazer uma, com um caixote e papel branco. Ficou aceitável, mas o tamanho não era o adequado e tinha algumas imperfeições. Foi então que comecei a procurar uma tenda de luz profissional e acabei por comprar uma. É bastante grande e vinha com 4 fundos diferentes (branco, preto, azul e vermelho). Ainda tenho que investir em boas lâmpadas, mas posso dizer com certeza que a tenda faz uma grande diferença nas minhas fotos. Estão mais limpas, brilhantes e a luz é mesmo homogénea, o que é muito bom! Não foi muito cara, julgo que cerca de 18£ no ebay (cerca $35 ou 24€), por isso, um bom investimento!
