I love to travel… it’s one of the things that gives me big smiles and truly makes me happy!

And yay, I’m going to travel very soon… tomorrow I’m off to Scotland and I’m very excited with this trip!! I will be back on wednesday, so see you in one week! take care!

Special crafts || crafts especiais

I love to receive special orders… this time my lovely sister asked me to make a cushion for a baby boy named João… These cushions take quite a long time to make, but I really enjoy the final result! And they look so cute when placed on the baby’s bed :)

Gosto muito de receber encomendas especiais… desta vez foi a minha querida irmã que me pediu para fazer uma almofadinha para um bébé chamado João… estas almofadinhas demoram um pouco de tempo a fazer, mas gosto mesmo muito do resultado final! E ficam tão giras colocadas na caminha do bébé :)

Kiva!

Remember “Fashion Design and Lifestyle team“? I’m so, so proud of my team, because we are doing something so great and wonderful. Please read all about our new project, wrote by the lovely Beth!

“The Fashion Design and Lifestyle team on Etsy is proud and excited to announce their new lending partnership with Kiva, a charitable organization who lends money, donated from individuals and groups, to small businesses throughout the world. The fantastic thing about Kiva is that, once the loan is repaid, the lender gets to allocate the money to another small business. It is the gift that keeps on giving!

We are calling our project “Sharing Hearts and Hands”, or Shh for short.  What we make with our hands we give from our hearts.
Sellers on the Fashion, Design and Lifestyle Team, lovingly referred to as FDL, have decided to contribute 10% of the sales price on items marked “fdlkiva” in the tags.  Once the fund reaches $25, we will allocate these proceeds to help support an international small business whose market and products are similar to ours.  For every $25 that we collect, we will continue to contribute towards as many businesses on Kiva that we can.  Once loans are repaid, we will reinvest in another Kiva business.

Fishcakes!!

I decided to try something British in the kitchen! I chose to go with Jamie Oliver’s Fishcakes… They take a while to get in the oven, because the fish and the potatoes need to be cooked, but overall they are easy to make and they were quite delicious! yummy!

Decidi tentar algo britânico na cozinha! Escolhi os fishcakes (pasteis de peixe?) do Jamie Oliver… levam algum tempo a preparar, já que o peixe e as batatas t~em que ser cozidos, mas no geral são muito fáceis de fazer e estavam muito saborosos! yummy!
