Snow+Cake || neve+bolinho
It’s snowing outside? Is it cold cold cold? Yes and Yes. My solution? Bake some chocolate cake. And then eat a slice with some hot tea!
Está a nevar? Está muito muito frio? Sim e sim. A minha solução? Fazer um bolo de chocolate. E depois comer uma fatia e beber um chá bem quente!

Lately || Ultimamente
Lately the outside looks like this… Snow, snow and more snow. It is really pretty, magical and very much like the perfect Christmas. It’s a shame that it causes so much disruption!

The research group were I work is not to big, so we tend to spend some time with each other. Like everything in life, there are people that you have more stuff in common with and others that you have less, but overall everyone is friendly, kind to me and easy to work with. In the UK Christmas Cards are still a big tradition so you usually end up writing dozens of cards for your colleagues and friends. This year I decided to make a little effort and add something special to my Christmas cards. I bought some Christmas sweets, tea and some organza bags. I think it makes a Christmas card a bit more special 
O grupo de investigação onde trabalho não é muito grande por isso acabamos por passar algum tempo juntos. Como tudo na vida, há pessoas com as quais temos mais afinidades e outras com as quais temos menos em comum, mas no geral toda a gente é muito simpática, bondosa comigo e de fácil trato (sim, que aqui tratamo-nos todos por tu, não há cá Doutores e Engenheiros – embora a maioria seja, de facto, Doutor!). Aqui no Reino Unido trocar postais de Natal é uam grande tradição e por isso nesta altura do ano escrevem-se dezenas de postais para colegas e amigos. Este ano decidi esforçar-me um bocadinho mais e fazer algo especial. Comprei doces tradicionais de Natal, chás e bolsinhas de organza. Acho que o postal de Natal fica um pouco mais especial assim
