From the garden || Da horta
Latest news from the garden: we have grown some potatoes and garlic! Potatoes grew quite well, better than I expected for the amount of space available (these potatoes were grown in growing bags). Garlic was not such success: it grew well, but I was expecting bigger cloves. Oh well, not at all bad for a first time! We haven’t tried the garlic yet, but I have made potato salad using our potatoes and they were very yummy!
Últimas novidades da horta: conseguimos cultivar batatas e alhos! As batatas cresceram bastante bem, principalmente tendo em conta que foram cultivadas em sacos e não em terreno aberto. Os alhos acho que não correram tão bem: cresceram bem, mas eu esperava cabeças de alho bem maiores. Bem, mas não está mal para primeira tentativa! Ainda não experimentámos os alhos, mas fiz salada de batata com as nossas batatinhas e eram muito saborosas!
