Just before I went on holiday I decided to make a cuddly toy for our baby. A few months ago I found a tutorial that looked quite easy to follow and decided to try it. The tutorial is from Allsorts blog, a great blog with super cute ideas. Since we do not know if we are having a girl or a boy, I did not make the outfit and decided to just knit a little scarf. The tutorial is extremely good and easy to follow and in a couple of hours the bunny was ready. Oh joy!
Antes de ir de férias decidi fazer um peluche para o nosso baby. Há uns meses tinha encontrado um tutorial que parecia fácil de seguir e decidi tentar. O tutorial é do blog Allsorts, um blog fantástico cheio de ideias giras. Como não sabemos se vamos ter um menino ou uma menina não fiz o vestidinho e optei antes por tricotar um pequeno cachecol. O tutorial é muito bom e está muito bem explicado, pelo que é simples seguir as instruções e num par de horas o coelhinho estava pronto. Alegria!

making tiny things || fazer coisas pequeninas
My crafty urges have changed a bit lately (ha ha!) and I’m really enjoying making tiny things. Making things for our baby makes the whole process so so special. I’m not much of a sewer, so I haven’t ventured very far, but all babies need lots and lots of bibs (apparently!), and I decided to start by making some. They turned out to be quite easy and straightforward to make and I ended up a bit addicted!
As minhas vontades craftianas mudaram um pouco ultimamente (ah ah!) e estou mesmo a gostar de fazer coisas pequeninas. Fazer coisas para o nosso bebé torna todo o processo de criação tão, mas tão especial. Não sou grande especialista com a máquina de costura e por isso não me aventurei muito, mas pelos vistos os bebés precisam de muitos babates e assim decidi começar por fazer alguns. Acabei por perceber que são fáceis de fazer e fiquei um bocadinho viciada!

Special crafts || Crafts especiais
As I told you a while ago, my sister is due to get married very soon. As soon as they set up a date, she asked me to make her a wedding ring pillow. I spent a lot of time thinking about this project, researching, trying things and also not feeling very happy with the results. I think I was nervous because it is my sister’s wedding, my only sister and I wanted to be perfect! She is a sweet, simple and elegant girl, so I ended up choosing delicate designs and materials (the white lace ribbon was our late grandmother’s, which makes it very special). I can share the result with you, with my sister’s permission. Oh and yes, she loves it 
Como já vos contei, a minha irmã vai casar-se em breve. Assim que marcaram o casamento ela pediu-me para lhe fazer a almofada das alianças. Passei muito tempo a pensar neste projecto, a investigar e a tentar diferentes coisas, mas também passei muito tempo a não gostar dos resultados. Acho que me sentia nervosa por ser para o casamento da minha irmã, da minha única irmã – queria que fosse perfeita! Ela é uma rapariga doce, simples e elegante e por isso optei por um desenho delicado e decidi usar materiais delicados também (a fita de renda branca era da nossa avó que já não é viva, o que torna a peça mais especial). tenho permissão para partilhar o resultado com vocês. E sim, a minha irmã adorou a almofada
