Mini-mini
I have a thing for ponies (I adore them!), they are super cute and they make me smile. I like horses too, but ponies are so, so sweet, and I’m luck, because there are plenty of ponies here in the countryside. And then there’s Thumbelina, the world’s smallest horse! She is extra small, but extra extra cute!! And she does charity work with children in need, so she is really precious!
Eu gosto muito, muito de póneis, eles são muito giros e fazem-me sorrir. Também gosto de cavalos, mas os ponéis são tão, tão doces e tenho sorte porque há imensos póneis aqui no campo. E depois temos a Thumbelina, o cavalo mais pequeno do mundo! Ela é extra pequena, mas extra extra gira!! E a Thumbelina faz trabalho de solidariedade, com crianças, por isso ela é mesmo especial!

Inspiration || Inspiração
I grew up in a house with a massive back garden, where my parents grew (and still grow) several vegetables, fruit, salads and herbs. Maybe that’s the reason why I’ve never felt the need to grow anything. Since I moved to the English countryside, I started to embrace something that is quite British: the love of all things garden! I started to pay attention to plants and flowers (and what amazing variety they have here!) and now I have some herbs and salad leaves growing in my windowsill. It’s very nice but I miss the luxury of having some outside space in my home. Hopefully, that will change in the near future, but in the mean time, I find myself watching all the episodes of the beautiful show “The Edible Garden” as well as some from “Gardeners’ world“. I especially like the first one and I even have Aly’s book – she is just such a happy girl and a huge inspiration! I always craft something while watching Aly’s show, and once I got so inspired that I made this cute new pins, that I will very soon list in the shops!
Cresci numa casa com um quintal enorme, onde os meus pais plantavam (e ainda plantam) muitos vegetais, frutas, saladas e ervas aromáticas. Talvez por isso nunca senti necessidade de plantar nada. Desde que me mudei para o countryiside Inglês, comecei a sentir uma atração enorme por algo que é muito Britânico: o amor pela jardinagem. Comecei a prestar mais atenção às flores ( e que grande variedade delas há por cá!) e agora tenho algumas ervas e salada a crescer no parapeito das janelas. É muito bom, mas sinto muita falta do luxo que é ter espaço nosso fora de casa. Felizmente essa situação deverá mudar em breve, mas entretanto resta-me devorar os programas da BBC “The Edible Garden” e “Gardeners’ world“. Gosto especialmente do primeiro e até comprei o livro da Aly – ela é uma míuda tão feliz e uma grande inspiração! Costmo craftar enquanto vejo o programa dela e num destes dias fiquei tão inspirada que fiz estas pregadeiras novas (em breve nas lojas!).

Spring || Primavera
Spring is here, there’s no doubt about that: the flowers are everywhere, the threes are full of new leaves and everything looks very green! These are some of my picks and they are perfect to celebrate spring. (available in the shop)

Re-do || re-fazer
A couple of weeks ago I started a spring clean in our flat. I found some garments that I no longer use and as much as I would love to keep them (you never know!), unfortunately I don’t have any spare storage space. So I decided to give the clothes to charity and to re-do some pieces. I had this dress that was always too short for me. I like it a lot, but I never felt comfortable using it, since it was a tad too short. So, I decided to transform it into a funky shirt/blouse… t was a easy job, compatible with my sewing skills, so I’m pleased with it!
The dress. I was very happy to be so close to mr pony (these are wild New Forest Ponies). You see, I do love ponies!
O vestido. Eu estava muito contente por estar tão pertinho do sr pónei (estes são póneis selvagens de New Forest). É que eu adoro póneis!

E agora é assim!
Há umas semanas atrás fiz uma limpeza a fundo à casa. Encontrei várias peças de roupa que já não uso e por muito que goste de guardar tudo (nunca se sabe!!), infelizmente não tenho nenhum sítio onde possa arrumar essas coisas. Por isso decidi dar algumas roupas à caridade e re-fazer algumas peças. Tinha um vestido que sempre foi muito curto para mim. Gosto muito dele, mas não me sentia confortável por ele ser assim para o curto. Decidi então transformá-lo numa blusa… foi um trabalhinho fácil e compatível com as minhas capacidades de costura, por isso estou contente!

The other day I found myself thinking about how much I like writing in this blog and how much I love reading all your comments. Feedback is really important for me!
