make your own pasta || Faz a tua pasta

This was a super weekend! Among other special things we decided to buy a pasta machine and to make our own pasta. We followed a recipe from Jamie Oliver and it was beyond simple. It was fun to make and what a feeling to eat pasta that was made from scratch… so rewarding… you should try it!

Este foi um super fim-de-semana! para além de outras coisas especiais, decidimos comprar uma máquina de fazer pasta para fazermos a nossa própria pasta. Seguimos uma receita do Jamie Oliver e foi mais do que simples. Foi tão divertido de fazer e que sensação boa comer pasta feita do zero… tão recompensador… Recomendo!

Kiva!

Remember “Fashion Design and Lifestyle team“? I’m so, so proud of my team, because we are doing something so great and wonderful. Please read all about our new project, wrote by the lovely Beth!

“The Fashion Design and Lifestyle team on Etsy is proud and excited to announce their new lending partnership with Kiva, a charitable organization who lends money, donated from individuals and groups, to small businesses throughout the world. The fantastic thing about Kiva is that, once the loan is repaid, the lender gets to allocate the money to another small business. It is the gift that keeps on giving!

We are calling our project “Sharing Hearts and Hands”, or Shh for short.  What we make with our hands we give from our hearts.
Sellers on the Fashion, Design and Lifestyle Team, lovingly referred to as FDL, have decided to contribute 10% of the sales price on items marked “fdlkiva” in the tags.  Once the fund reaches $25, we will allocate these proceeds to help support an international small business whose market and products are similar to ours.  For every $25 that we collect, we will continue to contribute towards as many businesses on Kiva that we can.  Once loans are repaid, we will reinvest in another Kiva business.

moo!

I just love moo. I think I already said that here… ups!! But they are such an amazing company, so original, friendly and so moo!! I have new moos and they look so great! The paper is great, the quality fantastic, and they just know everything: I even received a card saying “So nice to see you again” because it was not the first time I bought from them! Moo have probably the best costumer service I ever experience and I really respect a company that takes costumer service to that level. yay moo!

Adoro moo. Acho que já disse isso aqui… ups!! Mas a empresa é tão fantástica, tão original, tão amigável e tão moo!! Já tenho novos moos e têm tão bom aspecto! O papel é muito bom, a qualidade é fantástica e eles sabem tudo: até enviaram um cartãozinho a dizer “Que bom ver-te outra vez”, já que não foi a primeira vez que lhes comprei coisas! Moo tem provavelmente o melhor serviço de clientes que já experimentei e só posso respeitar muito uma empresa que leva o serviço de clientes a um nível destes. yay moo!

news on wednesday || novidades na quarta

I have a lot of new brooches to show you, but it’s taking a while to list them all on th shops. I hope to have them all online on Wednesday, so stay tunned and have a great weekend! I will be away for 4 days, we’re traveling to the North of England, I think I will return very relaxed and happy! oh and today it’s the first game of Portugal on the Euro 2008 football competition, so goooooo Portugal!!! :D

Tenho muitas pregadeiras novas para mostrar, mas está a levar-me algum tempo listá-las nas lojas. Espero quarta feira já ter tudo online, por isso fiquem atentos e tenham uma grande fim de semana! Eu vou estar fora 4 dias, vamos viajar até ao norte de inglaterra, acho que vou regressar relaxada e feliz! ahhh e hoje é o primeiro jogo de Portugal no Euro 2008 por isso FORÇA portugal!!!!!! :D
