Because Pantone is such an authority when it comes to colour, everytime I create a new season’s collection, I always make my colours choices based on Pantone’s forecast. Pantone never disappoints and if great designers use this palette, why shouldn’t we?

Almost everyone expects that Fall colours would be cozy, quiet and very serious. However, this season’s Pantone Colour Palette brings us so much more than that. It’s a season of change, althought not a radical one. Some traditionally Fall colours are still present, like chocolate brown, gray and other autumn shades.

Blues, greens and purples will be much seen next season but, as for spring / summer, reds continue to be strong and present. The palette is rich, sophisticated and elegant and colours are bright and beautiful. The featured colours are exciting and they add a splash of energy to the sometimes boring fall’s colours.

Artists and creators have a great solid base to work, using these wonderful and beautiful colours. Potential combinations could be green and grey, red and black and mustard and blue.
Remember that colour trends are not everything, they are just guidelines, not rules… Push yourself forward, open your mind to new colour combos and start playing with colour. It can be so much fun!

Colour palette || paleta de cores

I finished my felt colour palette! I love to look at it, with all the colours and so organized! I still have to fin the proper names for each colour but I think this palette will be very handy. I’m off to Portugal on Friday, and until then I have to finish some crafts, so I will post a wee bit less. See you soon!

Já terminei a minha paleta de cores de feltro! adoro olhar para ela, com todas estas cores e tão organizada! Ainda tenho que encontrar is nomes adequados a cada cor, mas parece-me que esta paleta vai ser muito útil. Vou para Portugal na sexta e até lá ainda tenho uns crafts para terminar, por isso vou escrever menos no blog. Até breve!

New || Novo

Ok, the new brooch collection is finally available, here and here. This Spring Summer collection bring us classic colours, with some neutral ones and some splashes of strong ones. It was a challenge to work with these colours, but allowed me to explore new combos, which was lovely. Some of the pieces of this collection have ethnic inspirations, while others are chic and trendy. Let me know your opinion on these new brooches!

Ok, finalmente a nova colecção de pregadeiras está disponível, aqui e aqui. esta colecção de Primavera Verão inclui cores clássicas, com alguns neutros e também alguns ponteados de cores vibrantes. Foi um desafio trabalhar com esta paleta de cores, mas permitiu-me explorar novas combinações, o que foi fantástico. Algumas peças são de inspiração étnica, outras são mais chic.
