Still Hawaii || Ainda Havai
I’m still amazed will the patterns that I saw in Hawaii and with all the meaning they have… Of course, I bought some hawaiian fabrics (and some coconut tree buttons too!). One of the most popular patterns is the hibiscus (the official Hawaii flower is the yellow hibiscus) and I just love it, looks great! The brown fabric has a print of the hibiscus and the ukulele, a musical instrument introduced in Hawaii by the Portuguese (yes, yes, I’m very proud!). I still have to figure it out what will I do with this wonderful fabrics, but I’m sure something great will come up! Any ideas?
Continuo espantada com os padrões que vi no Havai e com todo o seu significado… E claro, comprei alguns tecidos (e botões de coqueiro também!). Um dos padrões mais populares é o hibiscus (o hibiscus amarelo é a flor oficial do Havai) que eu pessoalmente gosto muito, é tão bonito. O tecido castanho tem hibiscus e ukulele, um instrumento musical introduzido no Havai pelos Portugueses (yay! que orgulho). Ainda não decidi o que fazer com estes tecidos, mas de certeza que alguma ideia interessante me vai surgir. Sugestões?

My holiday || As minhas férias
It’s taking me a while to settle down this time… But let me tell a little bit more about my holiday! We went to Hawaii!! It was perfect, brilliant, divine… I have no words to describe the beauty of Hawaii, all the Aloha spirit and how good it was to be there. Hawaii is all about colours, patterns, flowers, happiness… I’m so inspired that I’m making a Hawaiian Kumpel Doll 
We also visit San Francisco and Chicago, two great cities with lots of things to do, see and buy!! San Francisco is very nice, very cozy and cute with the up and down streets and all the water so close. Chicago is very different but I love it! It has such a good vibe, and all those buildings, the amazing Art Institute of Chicago and the great night life.

Back || De volta
Hello!!!! I’m home again! Oh boy, that was a great holiday! In fact, that was THE holiday!! For more than 2 years we didn’t take a proper holiday, so I end up so tired that this was heaven… and it looked like heaven too! We went to Hawaii for 1 week and on our way back (the trip to Hawaii took us 20h from London!!) we stopped in San Francisco and then Chicago.
I loved all the places I visited, but Oahu (the island that we stayed in Hawaii) was something breathtaking… I never expected that was so beautiful, so amazing, with such a good vibe… it’s the spirit of Aloha! Pacific is another world, in fact!
I will tell you all about this soon and also I will launch my new collection too… I just need a couple of days to settle in and to make this jet lag disappear! See you soon!
Olá!! Estou de volta a casa! Bolas, foram umas grandes férias! Para dizer a verdade foram AS férias! Há mais de 2 anos que não tirávamos férias a sério e nos últimos tempos o cansaço já era tanto, mas tanto, que estes dias pareceram-me o paraíso… e de facto o aspecto era de paraíso mesmo!! Fomos ao Havai 1 semana e depois na volta (já que a viagem para lá demorou 20h de Londres!!) parámos uns dias em São Francisco e depois em Chicago.
Gostei muito de todos os sítios que visitei, mas Oahu (a ilha do Havai onde ficámos) tirou-me o fôlego… nunca esperei que fosse tão bonito, tão fantástico e com uma “vibração” tão positiva… é o espírito do Aloha! O pacífico é de facto outro mundo!
Em breve faço um post em condições e também lançarei a nova colecção… só preciso de uns dias para por as coisas em ordem e também para ver se este jet lag desaparece! Até breve!

The 2nd Annual Holiday Ornament Swap!
After having a blast last year, I decide to sign up again for this amazing Holiday Swap!
The purpose is that each swapper creates a unique holiday ornament, them makes 8 to 10 equal ornaments, send it to the fellow swappers and receive 8 to 10 beautiful ornaments. You can read all the rules here. It’s really a great fun to think of the ornament, to make it, and specially to see if other persons like it… it’s all about the Season’s spirit, to give and to receive. Do you feel the vibe already? If yes, hurry, the deadline for sign up end tomorrow, 9th November!

Cada pessoa deve criar um ornamento de Natal, fazer 8 a 10, enviá-los às colegas crafters e depois receber 8 a 10 ornamentos diferentes. Todas as regras estão aqui.
