New this season || Novo nesta estação
This season’s collection is smaller. So far I have 3 new brooches, but I did put my heart on these ones! I love the new season’s colours… every time I go window shopping it’s a delight to see purple, gray, mustard and a little bit of red… All these brooches are available here and here, as usually!
A colecção destas estação é mais pequena. Por enquanto são apenas 3 pregadeiras, mas foram feitas com muito entusiasmo! Adoro as cores da nova estação… cada vez que ando a ver montras delicío-me com os roxos, cinzas, mostarda e um pouco de vermelho… todas as pregadeiras estão disponíveis aqui e aqui, como habitualmente!

I love Autumn!! Although I love summer for a million reasons, I feel so good when Autumn starts… it’s that time of the year when I make plans, organize stuff, think about life in a new perspective, knit… I love to be at home with a good cup of hot tea, my cozy blanket and some books (or some knitting needles). I love the orange, yellow, brown and red that I can find in the Nature… oh sweet Autumn!

Adoro o Outono! Embora goste muito do verão por um milhão de razões, sinto-me sempre tão bem quando começa o Outono… é aquela altura do ano em que faço planos, organizo coisas, penso na vida com uma nova perspectiva, tricoto… Sabe-me bem estar em casa com uma boa caneca de chá quente, a minha confortável manta e alguns livros (ou agulhas de tricot!). Gosto dos laranjas, amarelos, castanhos e vermelhos que encontro na natureza… oh doce outono!

Because Pantone is such an authority when it comes to colour, everytime I create a new season’s collection, I always make my colours choices based on Pantone’s forecast. Pantone never disappoints and if great designers use this palette, why shouldn’t we?
Almost everyone expects that Fall colours would be cozy, quiet and very serious. However, this season’s Pantone Colour Palette brings us so much more than that. It’s a season of change, althought not a radical one. Some traditionally Fall colours are still present, like chocolate brown, gray and other autumn shades.
Blues, greens and purples will be much seen next season but, as for spring / summer, reds continue to be strong and present. The palette is rich, sophisticated and elegant and colours are bright and beautiful. The featured colours are exciting and they add a splash of energy to the sometimes boring fall’s colours.
Artists and creators have a great solid base to work, using these wonderful and beautiful colours. Potential combinations could be green and grey, red and black and mustard and blue.
Remember that colour trends are not everything, they are just guidelines, not rules… Push yourself forward, open your mind to new colour combos and start playing with colour. It can be so much fun!
